Development of strategy for quality measurement criteria in datasets retrieval available on government websites

This paper describes a study conducted by Open Data for Development documents, in the retrieval phase and focusing on data quality, especially in analyzing structures found on government datasets pages, in order to identify ways to measure data quality aspects. The methodology used was exploratory analysis, descriptive, qualitative, with sample bounded to the set of pages with datasets information in ‘Portal e-Cidadania’ (Brazilian Senate data’s web site). As a result, it is proposed 7 dimensions to analyze: Relevance, Accuracy, Timeliness and Punctuality, Accessibility and Clarity, Comparability and Coherence and Standardization.
